Terms of Service
Last updated: April 5, 2026
Welcome to RxBuddy. By creating an account or using our service, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. About RxBuddy
RxBuddy is a medication reminder and wellness companion service that sends automated SMS text messages to help users stay on track with their prescribed medications. RxBuddy is operated by RxCompanion. RxBuddy is not a medical provider, does not offer medical advice, and is not a substitute for professional healthcare. For questions or support, email support@rxbuddy.us.
2. SMS Messaging Program
By registering and providing your mobile phone number, you expressly consent to receive recurring automated text messages (SMS) from RxBuddy at the number you provide. When you sign up at rxbuddy.us/register, you can add your medications and receive automated text message reminders at the times you choose.
2a. Types of Messages You Will Receive
- Scheduled medication reminder alerts (e.g., "Time for your Synthroid 50mcg")
- Adherence follow-ups (e.g., "Did you end up taking your Enalapril?")
- Dose confirmation responses (e.g., "I've marked your medication as taken")
- Post-dose wait timers (e.g., "It's been 30 minutes, you're good to eat now")
- Wellness check-ins and side-effect follow-ups
- Responses from our AI-powered wellness companion
- One-time phone verification codes (OTP) during registration
- Caregiver adherence notifications (if the patient granted access)
2b. Message Frequency
Recurring messages. Message frequency varies based on your medication schedule, adherence responses, and follow-up timers. Typically 1–10 messages per day. You control the frequency by adding or adjusting medications in your account at rxbuddy.us. Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier for details about your text messaging plan. RxBuddy does not charge for the service itself, but standard carrier messaging fees apply.
2c. How to Opt In (Subscribe)
You opt in to receive RxBuddy SMS messages by completing the following steps on our website:
- Visit https://rxbuddy.us/register and choose your registration type (patient, family/caregiver, or provider).
- Provide your mobile phone number on the registration form.
- Check the required SMS consent checkbox, which reads:
"I agree to receive recurring automated SMS medication reminder messages from RxBuddy. Message frequency varies; up to 10 msgs/day. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time.
